The steel and solid wood permeate to generate volumetric purity and develop the oak and walnut essences. As with all solid wood tops, Extendo joins the rough table using the finger joint technique (which allows stable joinery, without foreign couplings).

Steel and wood are shaped to emphasise their structural and aesthetic characteristics. The individual, three-dimensional geometries of the wood and steel permeate in single surface. The solid wood parts are protected with matt, scratch-proof water-based varnish, while the steel parts are powder painted.
